Trust and Safety on Spanking Dating

Kink dating asks for more trust than most dating. You are sharing something private with people you have not met, and eventually you may meet one of them alone. That is why safety on Spanking Dating works on two levels: what the site does in the background, and what you can do yourself.
This side of safety is about the site and the people on it: who is real, who is not, and what to do when something feels wrong. For safety during play itself, see our separate page on consent, limits and safewords.
Verification options
Every verification step on Spanking Dating is optional. No member has to complete any of them, and you should never assume that everyone you talk to has.
- ID Verification (Blue Tick). You can choose to verify a government ID. Approval adds the Blue Tick, which tells others a real, identified adult stands behind the profile.
- Video Verification. You can choose a live check over video with one of our moderators. The moderator confirms, live, that you are the person behind the profile, and no documents are involved.
- Admin Profile Validation. As a further optional step, you can ask our team to review your profile by hand. If approved, it carries a validation badge, with no sensitive paperwork required.
On top of these optional steps, Age Assurance estimates age automatically, with additional checks where required, as part of keeping the site for adults aged 18 and over.
A badge is reassuring, but it is one signal among several. Plenty of genuine people never verify, and a badge cannot tell you whether someone respects limits. Your strongest checks are still the human ones: how someone writes, whether they will talk on video, and how they behave over coffee.
Reporting and blocking
If someone makes you uncomfortable, you have two tools.
Blocking stops a member from contacting you or seeing you. You do not need a reason, and they are not told why. Use it whenever you want a conversation to end and stay ended.
Reporting sends a profile, a message or a piece of content to our moderation team. Report anyone who asks for money, sends threats, ignores a clear no, appears to be under 18, uses someone else's photos, or posts content that breaks the rules.
You can block and report the same person. Doing one does not prevent the other.
Human support staff answer by chat, phone and messaging at any hour, for anything those two tools do not cover.
Money requests and romance scams
Romance scams follow recognisable scripts, and kink sites are not immune. The scammer builds rapport, often with a lot of flattery and a convincing story, and then a problem appears that only money can fix.
Common versions:
- A sudden emergency: a hospital bill, a stranded traveller, a frozen bank account.
- Travel money to come and meet you, with the visit somehow never happening.
- Gift cards, cryptocurrency or wire transfers for any reason at all.
- A "verification fee" or "membership fee" that you are asked to pay to the person directly.
- Paid "sessions" dressed up as dating. Spanking Dating is for mutual dating between adults, not for buying or selling spanking.
The rule is simple: never send money to anyone you meet on a dating site. Not a small amount, not a loan, not once. Report the profile and stop replying.
The site helps here too. If someone tries to move your conversation to an outside messaging app early on, a classic scam tactic because it takes you away from moderation, you will see a warning. Treat that warning seriously.
Fake profiles: signs to watch
Most fake profiles share some of these traits:
- Photos that look like a professional shoot or a stock catalogue, especially with no casual pictures alongside.
- Text that could belong to anyone, with little or no detail about spanking role, style or limits.
- Intensity from the first hello: declarations of love or explicit scenes within the first few messages.
- Reluctance to talk on the phone or video, always with a new excuse.
- Details that shift: age, city or job changing between messages.
- Pressure to leave the site immediately for a personal email or messaging app.
None of these alone proves anything, but two or three together should make you cautious. A short video call settles most doubts. Real people who want to meet you will usually agree.
Behind the scenes, automated monitoring looks for unusual patterns of activity, and uploads are screened by a mix of automated tools and human review before they reach other members. Members also build a reputation through feedback on their interactions.
Privacy by default
Some protections are switched on for everyone from the start:
- Your real name and email address stay private; others see only your username.
- Your location appears only as your nearest town or city, never your address or live position.
- Images that might be explicit stay hidden behind a blur and a notice until you decide to look.
- If someone uploads private content of you without permission, our takedown process handles requests to remove it.
Data travels over encrypted connections, and payments run on PCI-compliant infrastructure. We also follow industry practice through our involvement with the Online Dating and Discovery Association.
For habits that protect you beyond the site, such as separate email addresses, photos that do not show your face and what to share when, read our article on dating privacy.
After a bad experience
If a meeting went wrong, or someone crossed a line, you are not overreacting by taking it seriously. Leave if you are still there. Contact someone you trust. Report the profile so moderators can act, and keep the messages, since they may matter later. If you are in danger or have been assaulted, contact local police or emergency services first; the site comes second.
Consent rules on the site
Spanking Dating exists for consenting adults. That shapes what is and is not acceptable here.
- Everyone must be 18 or over. Any content or role that suggests otherwise is removed.
- No means no, in messages as much as in person. Persisting after someone has declined is a reason to report.
- Limits stated in a profile are to be respected, not argued with.
- Spanking is never offered or sought as a paid service on this site.
- Content involving non-consent outside agreed roleplay, or anyone who has not agreed to be shown, is not allowed.
When you meet in person, the article on spanking dating safety explains how to plan a first meeting, while our overview of site features lists every privacy setting.
Questions people ask
How do I report someone?
Every profile and chat carries a reporting option that sends the case to moderators. Blocking is separate and ends all contact both ways. Support staff can help at any hour.
Someone asked me for money: what now?
Stop replying, do not send anything, and report the profile. No genuine person on a dating site needs money from you, whatever the story. If you have already sent money, contact your bank straight away.
How can I tell a profile is real?
Look for specific detail about role and limits, casual photos and a consistent story. Optional badges help: a Blue Tick for ID Verification, Video Verification or Admin Profile Validation. A video call before meeting is the surest check.
Does everyone have a badge?
No. Each check is optional on Spanking Dating, so many genuine people carry no badge at all. Age Assurance runs automatically, with additional checks where required, but you should still judge each person through conversation and a public first meeting.
